Purple Circle is an independent Early Childhood Program located on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Founded in 1972, it is a parent cooperative that values families as integral members of the school community, offering a play-based, interactional approach to learning for infants, toddlers, and children ages 5 months through 6 years.

With a focus on preserving, celebrating, and respecting children's right to play, Purple Circle provides a safe and inclusive classroom environment where children have the opportunity to interact with materials and develop connections with both children and adults.
