Ashley Lee, MD, is an Instructor and Assisting Attending of Pediatrics at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Dr. Lee attended Columbia University, NY for her undergraduate studies and medical school at Saint Louis University, MO. She then completed her Pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD, and her fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at Icahn Mount Sinai School of Medicine, NY. Dr. Lee completed a year of research fellowship as the recipient of the 2023 Elliot and Roslyn Jaffe Research Award. She worked under the mentorship of Dr. Hugh Sampson, MD, to study the role of food allergen epitopes on food allergy diagnostics and prognostics.Dr. Lee's clinical areas of interest include food allergies, drug allergies, atopic dermatitis, and immunodeficiencies. She is also passionate about community health and providing equitable care to her patients. Her research interests include better understanding the mechanisms of allergic diseases and immunodeficiencies. She is board-certified in Pediatrics and Allergy & Immunology.

For over 20 years, I have served as a pediatric nurse in various care settings. Before becoming a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner in 2014, I worked in the neonatal intensive care unit as a registered nurse. My first NP position, within a busy pediatric clinic, allowed me to form a strong foundation as a generalist. Then in 2016, I had the distinct honor and privilege to join Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC), working in pediatric urology for 2 years, then moving over to pediatric pulmonology. As a nurse practitioner, I can diagnose, order labs, imaging, and prescribe medication. I treat a variety of pulmonary conditions such as asthma, cystic fibrosis, and sleep apnea. As a mother of 3 children, 2 of whom have had chronic asthma issues, I have deep empathy for the children and families I treat. Education is an important part of the care I provide, and I greatly enjoy the time I spend educating patients and their families. I conduct CPAP desensitization training, asthma education, home spirometer teaching and transition guidance. At CUMC, we utilize a transition program called CF R.I.S.E to help prepare for transition to the adult CF center. I am also involved in quality improvement for sleep medicine and cystic fibrosis. I am proud to be part of a pulmonary team here at CUMC that is always striving to give the best care!

Dr. Abdalgani is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC). She completed her MBBS medical degree at the University of Jordan, Pediatric residency at University at Buffalo, NY, fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Virginia Commonwealth University, and fellowship in Clinical Immunology and Diagnostic Immunology Laboratory at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. In 2018, Dr. Abdalgani joined Children’s Minnesota as a Pediatric Clinical Immunologist, and also worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota for two years. She was involved in teaching medical residents and fellows. Dr. Abdalgani’s primary interest is primary immunodeficiency diseases, immune regulatory disorders, pre and post-transplant care of primary immune deficiency patients, hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis and immunomodulatory treatment. She is a member of the Clinical Immunology Society (CIS) and has served as a member of the CIS Continuous Medical Education Committee since 2020. She has reviewed for the Journal of Clinical Immunology since 2019. Dr. Abdalgani participated in research in diagnostic laboratory immunology, immune dysregulation and cytopenia. She presented some of her work in national meeting. Dr. Abdalgani was chosen as one of the Minnesota Monthly Magazine top doctors in 2021 and 2022.
