History

Originally opened on Joseph Ave by Russian immigrant brothers, Progressive has been a neighborhood gathering place ever since. The original owners nephew is now 97 and has never been anywhere else. Progressive Barbershop, with our roots in the community, continues to be a gathering place for young and old, males and female and people of every nationality.

Specialties

Progressive is Rochester's Oldest continuously named Barber Shop. Beginning in 1918 on Joseph Ave, to our current location, if you want an old school barber shop, this is it.
