Prototype Manufacturing Corporation is a full service machine shop facility that provides a wide range of services including tool and die, jigs, fixtures, and specialty machining. We specialize in short to medium production runs. Other services include research and development projects, prototypes, and light welding and fabrication. Prototype Manufacturing Corporation began as a one man, part time business in the basement of the home of our parents, Richard M. and Marjorie Christie. The business was incorporated in 1967 and became a full time venture when equipment was moved into the garage. After several moves into small, rented manufacturing spaces, Richard and Marjorie moved the business in 1972 to our present location in North Tonawanda. Our father instilled in us a sense of commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and superior customer service. To this day, we take pride in continuing to provide our customers the same quality and customer service that was so important to our father.

Department offers computer accuracy for single and multiple unit production manufacturing.We specialize in offering heat exchanger replacement parts- tubesheets, baffles, rings, flanges, etc. We have experience in providing these items in many different materials. From carbon steel to stainless steel to Carpenter 20 to Hastelloy C276 to clad materials and just about everything in between, we have acquired the hands-on knowledge to make a quality part at a reasonable price.The Quality Control and Assurance Department provides our customers the confidence of superior products at competitive prices.

Valair is a reputable company in Wilson, NY, known for its expertise in precision machining and welding. With two separate facilities dedicated to each operation, they offer efficient one-stop solutions for precision fabrication projects, ensuring minimal risk of cross-contamination during welding and grinding. Their precision machining services encompass CNC machining, CAD CAM, manual machining, and the production of prototypes to large runs, including the replacement of obsolete parts.
