Port Jervis Inc
The Port Jervis Volunteer Ambulance Corps Inc. has been serving the community since its inception in 1958, originally starting as the Port Jervis Lions Volunteer Ambulance. Today, it provides essential emergency medical services, including basic and advanced life support, to the City of Port Jervis, the Town of Deerpark, the Borough of Matamoras, and neighboring areas in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
As a nonprofit organization staffed by both paid and volunteer personnel, the Corps responds to approximately 4,000 calls for help each year, covering an area of over 73 square miles. It is the only AEMT certified ambulance service in Orange County, New York, and Pike County, Pennsylvania, and is dedicated to training and educating the community in emergency medical care.
