Port Chester Fire Department

The Port Chester Volunteer Fire Department, established in 1823, is dedicated to protecting the residents of the Village of Port Chester, the Westchester County Airport, and the neighboring Village of Rye Brook. Comprised of seven volunteer companies, the department is committed to preserving life and property while promoting public safety through professionalism, integrity, and extensive training.

Operating from four firehouses throughout Port Chester, the department is led by a volunteer chief and two assistants, supported by a robust roster of volunteer firefighters. The dedicated men and women of the Port Chester Volunteer Fire Department continue to uphold the values and mission that have guided them since the nineteenth century.
