Poonam Misra, MD completed her Glaucoma Fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center in 2019 after residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Misra received her BS with a major in Biology and minor in Philosophy from the Boston College, College of Art & Sciences Honors Program, in 2010, and MD degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2014. Dr. Misra was previously in the NYU Department of Ophthalmology as a full time member of the Faculty Group Practice, as well as resident educator at Bellevue Hospital. In her clinical practice she focuses on adult glaucoma, comprehensive ophthalmology and cataract surgery. She is a member of the American Glaucoma Society and American Academy of Ophthalmology.

The waiting room is sun-filled and child and adult friendly. We are ideally situated at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital on the upper east side of New York City near bus and subway lines.Dr. O approaches each patient as an individual. She will take a thorough history and physical exam. This will include a full head and neck examination with relevant imaging, and photography/video. If necessary, further investigative tests may be indicated, such as blood testing, MRI or CT imaging, or nerve conduction or electrical muscle studies.Your case may be discussed at a multidisciplinary conference comprised of various specialties in order to discuss the best treatment plan.
