Pooh & Friends Day Care

History

Pooh and Friends is run by its founder, Barbara Lazaar, a veteran public school teacher with 25 years of experience. She's always been a strong believer in early education, enrichment, and school readiness. Since 2006 Pooh and Friends has been loving and caring for children and helping them make the most of their potential. We are licensed by the Office of Children and Family Services. Barbara hires, trains and mentors only loving, capable staff members committed to early childhood education.

Pooh & Friends Day Care offers high-quality child care by encouraging each child to express themselves through language, art, music, & play. Since 2006, we've been loving the children of Elmsford as if they were are very own. We strike the perfect balance between fun, enrichment, and community every day that we're open. Everything we do centers on building self-respect, worth, and fun. This is a special place for children ranging from as young as six weeks to as old as 12. Our small, caring, and academically oriented daycare and preschool child care facility has mixed-age levels with a maximum of ten children. Our ratio of children to adults is never more than 5:1. For the babies, the focus is on language, on caring, humor, and fun. For the older kids, there's just as much caring, humor, and fun, which are augmented with school readiness skills, art, music appreciation, and field trips. Additionally, we have After School care for primary and elementary school children. We are currently enrolling for Fall of 2018!
