Pinto Thai Kitchen's owner, Jamaree Raj, was the founder of Kinnaree Asian Restaurant on Lark Street in Albany from 2011 to 2016, and prior to that the manager of Mino’s Sushi Thai restaurant (2006-2008), which was coincidentally only a block away from this location of Pinto Thai Kitchen. Chef Chai, who has cooked for Raj at each of the previous locations is once again cooking at Pinto Thai Kitchen. Pinto (pin-toh) is a Thai word for a portable food container – when we were little, Mom prepared delightful food for us that we carried every day to school in a Pin-Toh. To put it another way, Pin-Toh is where the caring, delights and happiness from the ones who cooked for us are stored. The restaurant has seating inside and a small patio in front. In addition to standard Thai dishes, some additional Asian food preparations (e.g., Korean) are available. Free parking is behind the restaurant off Woolard Ave. A traffic light at Central Ave and Woolard Ave allows for easy access and exit.

Authentic, spicy, excellent - all the good stuff! Had the green curry with seafood lunch special, so flavorful and perfectly cooked shrimps. 15.99! Coming back for the drunken noodles!
