About School Peridance Center has been a core member of New York City's dance community since its inception in 1983. In partnership with Capezio/Ballet Makers Inc., the center now has a new home and name Peridance Capezio Center. Peridance Capezio Center provides a broad spectrum of dance education within a nurturing and professional environment, preparing dancers for the continually evolving international dance arena. The school at Peridance offers over 250 weekly adult classes, which are open for everyone to join, a world-renowned Faculty, an International Student Program and the Perichild Program ; a graded children's program training the next generation of dancers in a variety of dance styles. The Center is also home to the acclaimed Peridance Contemporary Company, formally known as Peridance Ensemble Maintaining its original roots in Union Square, Peridance Capezio Center is excited about its new home: a beautiful landmark building featuring six spacious, state-of-the-art, sprung and column-free studios. All studios are professionally equipped for classes, auditions and rentals. The Center also hosts an in-house Studio Theater and a coffee shop. Commended by Dance Magazine as "a place for serious dancers", Peridance Capezio Center has continually maintained its reputation for excellence drawing students in from around the globe. Peridance Capezio Center offers technique classes in all major dance disciplines for dancers of all levels.
