History

Peace and Riot is the retail post of Ibo Interiors. Achuziam and Lionel (husband and wife) have teamed up to offer gifts and home furnishings for both traditional and contemporary interiors. Crossing over from the realm of fashion design to the world of interior design after graduating from F.I.T. in 1993, Achuziam Maha brings nearly two decades of stylizing experience to the forefront. The form and function of her creative concepts not only move with the time, but somehow remain timeless. Her work has been exposed on the pages of the Daily News, the New York Sun and her store was featured on HGTV. Lionel, originally from the Bronx, is also a record producer. He brings his love of music and tech and buys all the fun and funky items. Achuziam concentrates on all the pretty stuff. Peace and Riot is the perfect Brooklyn-Bronx, classic-contemporary, neutral-vibrant mash up.
