The Amber Court of Brooklyn provides assisted living services for senior citizens. It offers residential, personal care assistance and medical supervision services. The facility also provides personal laundry, housekeeping, transportation, on-site consultation, medical treatment and medication management services. The Amber Court of Brooklyn offers cardiology, optometry, audiology, psychology and podiatry services. In addition, it provides air conditioned and furnished accommodations. The facility has a hair salon and barbershop, as well as recreation and media rooms. The Amber Court of Brooklyn conducts fire drills and offers supportive care programs. It also has cooking and baking clubs and organizes indoor sports and exercise classes. The facility conducts various card tournaments and entertainment shows. The Amber Court of Brooklyn is a part of Amber County Assisted Living, which operates various assisted living centers in New York and New Jersey.

Founded in 1883 by Methodist Church members to provide a comfortable residence for their “indigent” elderly, the first Home was situated on McDonough Street and Stuyvesant Avenue. As a result of the tireless efforts of some 200 women and men from virtually every Methodist church in Brooklyn, the number of applicants for admission grew so large that expansion was essential.
