Each year University Settlement helps more than 28,000 low-income and at-risk New Yorkers build better lives for themselves and their families with pioneering programs for family members of all ages.

Kennedy Child Study Center, located in New York City, is a nonprofit agency that offers comprehensive evaluation, medical supervision, preschool and early intervention programs to young children. The center was established in 1958, and provides education and social opportunities through specialized programs and services for early childhood development. Kennedy Child Study Center has a trained team of physicians, therapists, nurses, social workers and teachers that provide individual assessments. Its early intervention programs provide various services, such as screening, psychological testing, medical consultation, special education, family counseling, and speech, physical and occupational therapies. Additionally, the center s preschool programs serve children of ages 3 to 5 years with developmental disabilities. The programs offer each child special instruction and therapy and address specific developmental challenges. It also provides hands-on, play and socialization activities.
