History

Rochester natives Emma Brinkman and Ben Eskind started Pachamama Farm in 2013 out of a love for homegrown food. Having honed their agricultural skills as farm apprentices in the Hudson Valley and as backyard gardeners in Rochester, they decided to take the plunge and farm for themselves when they found the perfect piece of land in Farmington, NY. This particular site has highly fertile, nutrient-rich soils, and is ideally located between Rochester and the Finger Lakes. Over 50 varieties of vegetables and herbs are grown for distribution to local chefs and CSA members. Pachamama Farm DOES NOT use synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or chemicals in their commitment to sustainability. All farm work is done with an eye to soil health, doing much of the work by hand to minimize impact and maintain fertility.
