The Oswego Public Library, founded in 1857 and located in Oswego, NY, is a historic landmark and the oldest public library still operating in its original building in America. Renovated from 2004-2008, the library continues to serve the community from its iconic Castle on the Hill.

Supported by the local Friends of the Library, the Oswego Public Library offers a range of services including digital resources for all New Yorkers and a Bookmobile that brings books to the local community in the summer. Visitors can enjoy a rich history dating back to its grand Norman castle-style construction in the mid-19th century.
