Oscar Trujillo, MD, MS is a Fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeon, specializing in aesthetic and cosmetic surgery of the head and neck. Dr. Trujillo operates on patients of all ages to provide expert care, with procedural diversity ranging from functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty, to reconstruction after oncologic procedures, to non-surgical treatments such as laser resurfacing and injectable fillers. His skill is further enhanced by state-of-the-art technologies and cutting-edge techniques in surgical innovation. Dr. Trujillo received a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. He went on to attend the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he graduated Cum Laude, was awarded the Marshall. L. Rennels Award for Excellence in Neuroscience, and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. His passion for facial plastic surgery began as a resident in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at New York Presbyterian – Columbia and Weill Cornell campuses. As Chief Resident, he was awarded the W. Schain Schley, M.D. Resident Teaching Award for Excellence in Resident Teaching in recognition of his enthusiasm for training junior residents and medical students. Following residency, Dr. Trujillo completed a top American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship Program with renowned facial plastic surgeons. His mentors are routinely invited to lecture regarding surgical techniques at national and international conferences, teach courses in face lift, neck lift, and rhinoplasty, and serve on AAFPRS Committees dedicated to the education of future Fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeons. During fellowship, Dr. Trujillo participated in the AAFPRS Foundation’s FACE TO FACE: The National Domestic Violence Project, a not-for-profit program aimed to provide, pro bono, consultation and surgical repair of facial injuries to victims of domestic violence. Dr. Trujillo plans to expand this project at Columbia University Medical Center as it is a chance to offer help to victims of domestic violence. Dr. Trujillo blends art, science, and innovation to his skilled practice in the treatment of the aging face, including lift and rejuvenation of the face, neck, eyelid, and brows. Other offerings include lip and chin augmentation, primary and revision rhinoplasty, and Mohs reconstruction, as well as minimally-invasive techniques and office-based procedures, including non-surgical rhinoplasty, injectable filler augmentation, laser treatments, and Botox injection. Unique to his practice are his in-office surgical procedures to address aging face concerns, even including face, neck, eyelid and brow lifting, performed entirely under local anesthesia, with only minimal downtime in most cases. Dr. Trujillo also uniquely offers rhinoplasty surgery performed either entirely through the nose, with no external incisions, or the traditional open technique with only a small external incision. Dr. Trujillo is committed to advancing the field of facial plastic surgery through extensive, innovative research at Columbia University Medical Center. He has written peer-reviewed papers, book chapters, and presented research at national meetings. He is excited to return to CUMC after completion of his Fellowship training to contribute to resident and medical student education, as well as to the future of facial plastic surgery.

Dr. George A. (Jack) Cioffi is an internationally recognized glaucoma scientist and clinician and is the Edward S. Harkness Professor and Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons since 2012. He also holds the Jean and Richard Deems Endowed Professorship and is the Ophthalmologist-in-Chief at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. From 2014 to 2023, Dr. Cioffi served as the President of ColumbiaDoctors, the multi-specialty faculty practice organization of more than 2,500 clinicians from Columbia University Irving Medical Center and was concurrently appointed Vice Dean of Clinical Affairs. Dr. Cioffi formerly held the Richard G. Chenoweth Chair of Ophthalmology at the Devers Eye Institute and was the Chief Medical Officer & Senior Vice President at Legacy Health System in Portland, Oregon. He received his medical degree at the University of South Carolina, completed a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Maryland where he also served as Chief Resident, and a fellowship in Research & Clinical Glaucoma at Devers Eye Institute under Dr. E. Michael Van Buskirk. Subsequently, he completed the inaugural Harvard Business School program in Managing Healthcare Delivery. Dr. Cioffi is the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Academic Ophthalmology, the official journal of the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology (AUPO). As well, he is Editor Emeritus of the Journal of Glaucoma, after serving for 10 years as the Editor-in-Chief, and he is the past Chair of the Basic and Clinical Science Course for the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is the Chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Glaucoma Research Foundation in San Francisco. He is a past President of the Oregon Academy of Ophthalmology and has served as a member of the FDA Ophthalmology/Dermatology Advisory Committee for drug approval. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Foundation for Medical Excellence and was selected by the Governor John Kitzhaber to serve on the Oregon Health Policy Board’s Outcomes & Quality taskforce. Dr. Cioffi, a physician for more than 30 years, has published over 250 articles, has enjoyed support from the National Eye Institute of the National Institutes of Health for more than two decades. He has delivered numerous named lectures and has received the Honor Award, the Senior Honor Award and two Secretariat Awards from the AAO. He has mentored more than 50 clinical and post-doctoral fellows over his career. These clinicians and scientists are now at academic institutions and in practices around the U.S., Canada, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
