Oneida County Central Service

The Oneida County Department of Social Services provides financial assistance and support services to the eligible residents of Oneida County, N.Y. Its child support enforcement program establishes and enforces child support-related orders; monitors the collection and disbursement of child support payments; establishes paternity for children born outside a marriage; and locates absent parents when required. The department provides temporary assistance, transitional and low-income day care. Its employment division offers a transitional opportunities program that assists low-income families. The department offers the Home Energy Assistance Program, which assists eligible low-income households with heating-related utility costs. Its services division provides protection to vulnerable adults and children suspected to be at the risk of abuse, neglect or exploitation. The Oneida County Department of Social Services is located in Utica, N.Y.
