Old Tbilisi Garden Is The Only Georgian Restaurant In Greenwich Village, New York City. Old Tbilisi Garden opened on July 4th, 2014. Since then, it has been one of the only few restaurants that offer authentic Georgian Cuisine in Manhattan. Winemaking is deeply rooted in Georgia’s history, cultureand economy. The world’s first cultivated grapevines arethought to have originated in the country’s fertile valleyssome 8,000 years ago. Georgia’s long winemaking historyhas given rise to unique methods of production, such asthe “Kakhetian rule”. Georgians make wine that is aged andstored in a special cone-shaped clay vessel known asa Qvevri.

Delicious food, nice staff and good ambiance-what else could you want? We had dumplings, a salad and a chicken dish. I recommend them all!
