The Rutherford First Aid Ambulance Corps (RFAAC) is a dedicated volunteer non-profit organization providing emergency medical care services 24 hours a day to the Borough of Rutherford, New Jersey, as well as offering mutual aid to neighboring communities. With an active membership of approximately 45 volunteers, the Corps responds to around 1,400 calls per year, ensuring immediate pre-hospital care for the critically ill and injured at no charge to patients. Supported entirely by public donations, the RFAAC operates without municipal government funding, relying on community contributions to cover essential operating expenses, including ambulance maintenance and medical supplies.
