We were founded in 1948 by the late John T. Nothnagle, a real estate innovator and pioneer. John worked at Kodak and conceived the idea of taking photos of homes for sale and displaying them in a photo gallery for prospective buyers - so they wouldn't have to drive out to see the homes. The company created offices called the Gallery of Homes - and changed real estate forever. The concept was often copied over the next 50 years. The company continued to innovate, creating more and better ways to serve the public, home sellers, and its agents. The first real estate TV show in the nation - called the Nothnagle Sunday Showcase of Homes - aired on May 5, 1985. nothnagle.com debuted in 1995 featuring photos of homes, followed by interior photo galleries of homes, and audio/visual Guided Tours - all following the original concept of using photography to present homes in the best light, to attract buyers, and to save time by not driving to see every home for sale.
