Dr. Rainer Hoff, president of Gateway Consulting Group, began his career as a professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Waterloo. This early research in imaging technology led to Dr. Hoff founding Gateway Group, Inc in 1991. Dr. Hoff and his associates have pioneered many techniques in the field of information management that are considered routine today. AIIM, the ECM Association, awarded Dr. Hoff the Carl E. Nelson Engineering Award in recognition of these innovations.
