Monarch Machine Tool has for more than 95 years has been setting the pace in the metalworking industry. The company s first products were belt-driven metal cutting lathes. The company designed one of the first contour cutting machines and was the first company to run two shifts during World War II. The Cortland, N.Y. facility was opened in the late 1960 s, and was considered innovative and one of the nation s top 10 production facilities. Monarch Machine Tools are marketed in Europe by Spinner GmbH in Germany, providing sales and service. Monarch Machine entered into an agreement with Dutch tool manufacturer Unisign, to sell full lines of high-performance Zonal Traveling Column and UMB Gantry type Vertical Machining Centers to United State customers. Monarch Machine Tool continues to offer a full line of metalworking equipment and services under the Monarch Machine Tool name. Monarch Machine Tool and primary manufacturing facility is located in Cortland, N.Y.
