CareGivers, formerly a franchise of Upjohn Health Care Services, is a home health care agency offering a wide range of services, including companions, personal care aides, home health aides, licensed practical nurses and registered nurses. Its companions perform various nutritional and environmental support services that include light housekeeping, meal preparation and clean up, making and changing beds, shopping, and laundry services. The agency s personal care aides perform duties, such as assistance with bathing, toilet, bed pan and commode use, feeding, transferring client with and without equipment, lifting and turning of client in bed or chair, and reminding client of medications. The tasks performed by home health aides include urine testing, helping with complex dietary restrictions, assisting with prescribed exercise routines, special skin care and dressing changes, and colostomy care.
