Neil A Feldstein, MD

Dr. Sekula is one of the world’s foremost leaders in minimally invasive brain surgery. His world-renowned practice is dedicated to less invasive but maximally effective treatment of a variety of brain disorders, particularly difficult to reach tumors involving the skull base (acoustic neuroma, meningioma, and other brain tumors) as well as rare and debilitating conditions like trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm, and glossopharyngeal neuralgia. Dr. Sekula routinely performs keyhole surgeries, which allow patients to experience a gentler and faster recovery without the need for the intensive care unit. During his career, he has performed more than 6,000 surgeries, including more than 2,500 microvascular decompressions. After receiving his undergraduate degree from The University of Virginia and his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, Dr. Sekula completed his internship and residency training in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he also completed advanced and fellowship training in minimally invasive brain and skull base surgery. Karen Bell is a Professor of Neurology at Columbia University Medical Center, in the Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain and the GH Sergievsky Center. A Bronx native who graduated from New York University, and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, she completed internship in internal medicine at Harlem Hospital Center and neurology residency at The Neurological Institute at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons. After completing a fellowship in Behavioral Neurology, she focused her clinical and research efforts to specialize on the evaluation and treatment of neurodegenerative cognitive disorders at the Taub Institute. As the Director of the Education Core of the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center at Columbia University, she has developed physician and community education programs. She is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and the National Medical Association, serving on various subcommittees. She is an external advisor to National Medical Association's Project I.M.P.A.C.T. initiative. She also serves on multiple NINDS Data Safety Monitoring Boards and has been a member of the Columbia University Medical Center Institutional Review Board since 2003. She was appointed to the New York State Council on Graduate Medical Education (NYSCOGME) by Governor Paterson in 2009 and chairs the NYS COGME Empire Clinical Research Investigator Program Workgroup. She has participated as a mentor in the Harlem Children Society science program for many years.

Randolph Marshall, M.D., M.S. is the Elisabeth K Harris Professor of Neurology at Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, Chief of the Stroke Division, and Attending Neurologist on the Stroke Service at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Marshall received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College in 1982, and his master's and medical degree from the University of California in 1988. After completing his Neurology Residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital he completed 2 years of a Cerebrovascular fellowship with Dr. J.P. Mohr at the Neurological Institute at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical center, then joined the faculty of Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1994. Dr. Marshall has a clinical practice in Neurology with a focus on cerebrovascular diseases and stroke.
