Nature View Park is a 1,254-acre park located in Amherst, NY, offering a vast expanse of forests, wetlands, and meadows. It was saved from development through a grassroots effort involving dedicated residents, public hearings, and bipartisan support from elected officials. With its numerous walking trails, Nature View Park provides an easy hiking experience for visitors, making it the largest undeveloped green space in Amherst.
The Western New York Land Conservancy, an accredited regional not-for-profit 501(c)(3) land trust, holds a conservation easement for Nature View Park. Their mission is to collaborate with landowners, municipalities, and other organizations to preserve cherished natural areas and working farms in the region. Through their efforts, Nature View Park remains a protected haven for both wildlife and outdoor enthusiasts.
