He routinely performs this procedure in his office during initial consultations to avoid needing multiple outside appointments, tests and biopsies. He puts it this way: "My ultrasound expertise often results in an immediate diagnosis and identification of early spread of cancer, often missed by outside studies. This facilitates optimal care tailored to the patient from the get-go, minimizing too much or too little treatment, inconvenience and anxiety."Dr. Kuriloff takes pride in listening to his patients and educating them, spending the time needed to answer any and all questions. He also provides illustrated and written guides to help his patients navigate through various treatment options. "Every patient's journey is unique," he says. "They are provided with critical information and included as partners in a shared decision process to make the best choices for themselves. This helps to ease stress and increases mutual understanding, respect and cooperation."
