As a small daycare, we emphasize individual learning and development, as well as teamwork and care and concern for others. Social skills are at the heart of what we do- peer sensitivity, kindness to others, working in groups, coping skills. We offer creative song and dance programs for all children and piano lessons for ages 3 and older. Arts and crafts are also included, as well as Montessori-based educational group lessons and work time 3 times a week. In July and August, children bring their bathing suits, towels and summer hats for our daily trips to Bennett and Dolphin parks. For children 3 years and older we also include academic instruction and Kindergarten-readiness. Reading- ready to read, storytelling, comprehension, drama; Math- critical thinking skills, patterns, numbers, operations; Geography- maps, puzzles, Biology- creative teaching through arts and crafts, life cycle; are all part of our comprehensive program. Children are placed according to their development in two different classrooms. We offer a variety of schedules to suit your needs and encourage parental participation, including a daily communication log.
