Muttontown Preserve is Nassau County's largest nature preserve, spanning 550 acres of fields, woodlands, ponds, and estate grounds. With miles of marked nature trails, visitors can explore the diverse local wildlife, including wildflowers, trees, birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians.
Home to the historic Chelsea Mansion, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Muttontown Preserve offers a picturesque setting for outdoor enthusiasts. In addition to self-guided tours, visitors can enjoy cross-country skiing trails during the winter months, weather permitting. The preserve is a unique combination of three separate estates, including the remnants of a mansion once owned by King Zog of Albania, adding to its intriguing history and charm.

So beautiful. So easy to get to and to enjoy!! The flowers still bloom even in December! There are so many beautiful trees and lovely paths all over. Love this spot!
