Mohammad Zia, DO

Thazin Saw, MD, is an internist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Brooklyn, affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. She is board certified by American Board of Internal Medicine since 1998 and a fellow of American College of Physicians. After earning her medical degree from Institute of Medicine Yangon, Myanmar, she completed internal medicine residencies at Havering Group Hospitals in London, England and At SUNY Long College Hospital in Brooklyn. She has been appointed as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, Cornell University. She has previously served as Clinical Assistant Professor, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and SUNY Brooklyn, and Medical Director, Employee Health, Long Island College Hospital, Brooklyn.

Dr. Alfred C Winkler, MD received his AB from Princeton University in 1989. He went on to pursue Medicine at SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine where he was awarded his Medical Doctorate in 1993. He completed his residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1999. He has been a board certified Urologist and member of the American Urologic Association since 1999. In 2015, he was awarded a Masters in Business Administration from NYU.Prior to joining Weill Cornell Medicine in 2015, Dr. Winkler held Urology Residency Site Director positions at both the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Icahn School of Medicine. He was also Chief of Urology at Jacobi Medical Center/North Central Bronx Hospital and subsequently Elmhurst Hospital Center/Queens Hospital Center. He won Resident Teaching awards at both residency programs. He is currently Chief of Urology at NYP-Lower Manhattan Hospital. Dr. Winkler also sees patients and performs operative procedures at WCMC-NYP.Dr. Winkler believes that patient education is essential to the collaborative effort between physician and patient to achieve an optimal outcome. In his practice, he spends the extra time to make certain his patients have a thorough understanding of both their illness and the treatment options available. Dr. Winkler's particular areas of focus are Men's Heath, Stone Disease, as well as voiding Dysfunction in both Men and Women.A particular passion is Community Health Awareness of Urologic Disease. Dr. Winkler has organized numerous educational and screening programs involving prostate cancer awareness and bladder health.

Dr. Leonard was himself born in the old Lying-In wing of New York Hospital. He grew up in Manhattan, graduating from The Collegiate School as valedictorian. He graduated summa cum laude from Williams College (Religion and Classics) and then studied for two years at Emmanuel College, Cambridge University (Archaeology and Natural Sciences) as a Herschel Smith Fellow.After a year of hospital work, Dr Leonard attended Harvard Medical School, serving on key student-faculty committees that initiated the case-based, more patient-oriented curriculum that is now standard at Harvard, Cornell and elsewhere. Returning to New York City, Dr Leonard completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center.Dr. Leonard has won many teaching awards. He serves as President of the NYH-Cornell Medical Center Independent Practice Association and on many other departmental committees.Dr. Leonard lives in Brooklyn with his wife, their rescue Louisiana cur, a lettuce-loving tortoise and occasional visits from 3 grown children. In his (limited) free time, Dr. Leonard pursues his long-standing avocation, running, completing many NYC Marathons and coming in 2nd in his age group in 2009 (2:42.38).
