Dr. Miran Salgado is a movement disorder specialist, the Chief of NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, and the Medical Director of the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) Information and Referral Center. He graduated from the Medical College of the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and completed residency training in internal medicine. In the U.S., he completed his neurology residency training at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center where he was Chief Resident. He also completed his fellowship in Movement Disorders at the Neurological Institute at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, and is board certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology.
