Linear Park of the University District of Buffalo is a dedicated Rails to Trails location that has been under development since 2006, spearheaded by Director Cassandra Hayes. Located just a few blocks from Main Street, the park stretches along the west side from Custer Street to Seattle Street and aims to serve as a hub for community activities and public art initiatives.

Managed primarily by local neighborhood members, Linear Park relies on the efforts of students from the University at Buffalo, who actively participate in maintaining and enhancing the park through various community events. With ongoing improvements, including the future development of a properly drained walkway and bike path, Linear Park continues to evolve as a valuable green space for the community.
