Dr. Garret Garofolo is a dual fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, shoulder arthroplasty, and lower extremity pathology with emphasis on complex shoulder, knee and ankle reconstructive and replacement surgeries.Dr. Garofolo graduated with honors from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in biomechanics, neuroscience, and applied physiology. He subsequently graduated at the top of his class from AUC School of Medicine, where he earned his Medical Degree. He completed his residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, an affiliate of Northwell Health. Dr. Garofolos orthopaedic residency training included trauma at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland, pediatrics at Connecticut Childrens Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut, and foot and ankle at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Following his residency, Dr. Garofolo completed a sports medicine fellowship under the direction of esteemed Drs. Steven Snyder, Richard Ferkel, and Mark Getelman at the prestigious Southern California Orthopaedic Institute, an affiliate of UCLA Health.
