Founded in 1970, Medicine Show Theatre Ensemble is a non-profit corporation that composes and organizes a variety of stage plays and shows. It's plays include Screaming Forests, Jump-Start, Word/Play, Suzanne Et La Pacifique, Lorenzaccio and Don Juan in Hell. Additionally, the corporation has produced various compositions, such as The Tragedy of Tragedies, Extraordinary Histories, As You Like It, The Domestic Baedeker Of Gertrude & Alice, Fifty Million Frenchmen, The Merry Wives Of Windsor, Many Loves and Slum Clearance. It composes plays written by George Bernard Shaw, William Shakespeare, T.S. Eliot, William Carlos Williams and Cole Porter. Medicine Show Theatre Ensemble is funded by the New York State Council on the Arts and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.
