McIntosh Laboratories develops and manufactures home and car audio components. Its products include power amplifiers, audio control centers, integrated amplifiers, loudspeaker systems, CD changers, meter modules and remote controls. McIntosh strives for perfect sound quality by designing its components with capacities so great that it will never be operated at or near its stress point. For example, the company s output autoformer s bandwidth exceeds both the output circuit and the audible range, so distortion is virtually immeasurable.
