History

McCarren Bark was started as a northern sister to ProspectBArk, the pet care company I help run in the areas surrounding Prospect Park. I was eager to bring my expertise to Greenpoint, my home, because I really saw a lack of affordable yet professional pet care options in these northern Brooklyn neighborhoods. McCarren Bark has grown steadily ever since, based entirely on client referrals and word of mouth. We currently employ 3 full-time walkers and 3 part-timers. We're out there with your pups and kitties every day, and we strive to be the best pet caretakers in Northern Brooklyn!

Specialties

We love animals, of course, but what sets us apart from the others is our professionalism. We're bonded & insured, and our staff are certified by the Red Cross in Pet First Aid. We've honed an extremely efficient, organized way of doing things. We're constantly innovating and improving our operations, making sure all our clients are safe & happy. Our caretakers are professionals, trained to be great with your pets and excellent communicators with you. (That shabbily dressed, headphone wearing, disreputable walker you've seen around does NOT work for us!) We're friendly, professional, & conscientious. We are your neighbors. We specialize in solo walks, but can match your pup with a walking buddy too. For social pups, we also organize a weekly playgroup that is growing quite popular. We have a full-time vet tech on staff, as well as a dog masseuse-in-training. We also have the best kitty-sitters north of Flushing Ave!
