Her clinical and research interests include integrative psychiatry, pediatric delirium, adolescent depression, relational psychodynamic psychotherapy and improving access to mental health care through quality and safety initiatives. She has served in multiple leadership roles, including Director of Quality Improvement in Psychiatry at Montefiore Medical Center and Director of Child Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison at UAB.As a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP), Dr. Yoon currently co-chairs AACAP’s Asian Caucus and serves on its Diversity & Culture Committee. Fluent in Korean and English, she is passionate about culturally responsive care and reducing mental health disparities among immigrant and Asian-American families. Dr. Yoon is dedicated to empowering families and trainees alike with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate complex mental health systems.
