Marcos Fe-Bornstein, MD is currently focusing on psychodynamic psychotherapy. Dr. Marcos Fe-Bornstein has practiced General Adult Psychiatry for over 30 years. Prior to moving to New York in 2002, Dr. Fe-Bornstein was Director of the Behavioral Medicine Clinic at Tulane University in New Orleans and held clinical and administrative positions at Tulane and affiliated hospitals. He also worked at the New Orleans Veterans Administration Medical Center where he headed the Opiate Substitution Program. Dr. Fe-Bornstein served as Chief of Inpatient Addiction Recovery services at Payne Whitney Westchester up until November 2010 and is currently an Attending Psychiatrist at Payne Whitney Manhattan. Dr. Fe-Bornstein has a limited evening private practice at Weill Cornell Psychiatry Specialties Center on East 62 St.He is a graduate of the National University in Mexico City. He trained in Adult Psychiatry at Tulane University and Louisiana State University in New Orleans and completed fellowships in Advanced Psychiatry at LSU and Behavioral Medicine at Tulane. Dr. Hermann began her training in the basic neurosciences, earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychobiology at The Ohio State University and subsequently working as a full-time research assistant in translational neurotrauma at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and University of Cincinnati Department of Neurosurgery. There she pursued additional intensive psychotherapy training in multiple modalities including interpersonal psychotherapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, brief dynamic psychotherapy, and group psychotherapy. Dr. Hermann served as Chief Resident in her final year of residency. Following residency, Dr. Hermann completed fellowship training in Reproductive Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center where she developed expertise in treating psychiatric conditions during periods of reproductive transition in a variety of clinical settings.Currently, Dr. Hermann is involved in national efforts to increase reproductive psychiatry education and training for mental health practitioners, primary medical practitioners, obstetrician-gynecologists, and the general public, as well as local efforts to improve screening and access to psychiatric care for pregnant and postpartum women of all backgrounds.Dr. Hermann believes in an integrative, collaborative approach to treating psychiatric illness and prefers to view psychopathology through a developmental perspective. She appreciates the integral connections between mind and body as well as between individuals and the social network within which they live. For these reasons, her evaluations include a thorough assessment of biological, psychological, and social contributors to active symptomatology and, when appropriate, include collaboration with other healthcare providers. When making treatment recommendations, she takes a great deal of care to consider the personal preferences of her clients and is sensitive to cultural factors that may influence these preferences. Katie Fogarty, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in evidence-based treatment for anxiety, mood, and externalizing disorders in children, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. Fogarty is a member of the Center for Youth Mental Health and holds appointments as an Assistant Attending Psychologist at NewYork-Presbyterian and Assistant Professor of Psychology in Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine.Dr. Fogarty earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Hofstra University, where she participated in the Child and Parent Psychotherapy lab. At Hofstra she studied the effectiveness of a DBT parent management training group. Dr. Fogarty also became passionate about helping parents grow their connection with their child while maintaining boundaries using Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Throughout her training, Dr. Fogarty sought to accrue specialized training in the treatment of pediatric anxiety disorders, ADHD, trauma, and mood disorders.Dr. Fogarty completed internship at JCCA’s residential treatment center where she engaged youth in individual therapy services for trauma, gender identity exploration, anxiety, and depression. At JCCA, Dr. Fogarty also completed psychiatric and neuropsychological evaluations. Following internship, Dr. Fogarty joined the Center for Youth Mental Health as a postdoctoral fellow. At Weill Cornell, she continued her work as an anxiety and parenting expert in the adolescent and adult partial hospitalization programs as well as through the Payne Whitney adult and child/adolescent outpatient departments.At present, Dr. Fogarty continues her work at Payne Whitney as well as the Psychiatry Specialty Center where she works with young adults on issues related to anxiety, OCD, depression, and ADHD. She runs groups related to independence building in emerging adulthood and collaborates with parents to help young adults meet their goals. Dr. Fogarty also works with children and adolescents using evidence treatments for anxiety, mood, ADHD, trauma, and tic disorders.
