Marc Richmond, MD, MS is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at CUMC, and the Associate Medical Director of the Program for Pediatric Cardiomyopathy, Heart Failure and Transplantation. He specializes in caring for the child with heart failure due to cardiomyopathy, congenital heart disease or acquired cardiac disorders as well as caring for children after heart transplantation for such indications. Dr. Richmond additionally sees patients as part of the Cardiac Genetics Program and in the Comprehensive Muscular Dystrophy Clinic. His clinical and research interests are focused upon improving clinical outcomes for children with heart failure or transplantation, evaluating cardiac function using newer noninvasive techniques as well as an interest in the use of ventricular assist devices for children with severe decompensated heart failure. Furthermore, he serves as the Vice-President of the multi-center Pediatric Heart Transplant Study Group and is actively involved in the multi-center Pediatric Heart Network and Cooperative Clinical Trials in Pediatric Transplantation.

Dr. Mark Liszewski is a board certified radiologist with subspecialty certification in pediatric radiology. He is an associate professor of radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, vice chair of radiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital and chief of the Division of Pediatric Radiology. Dr. Liszewski earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he was inducted to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed an Internal Medicine Internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School which was followed by a Radiology Residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School where he was elected to serve as chief resident. He then completed a Pediatric Radiology Fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School where he served as chief fellow. Prior to joining faculty at Columbia, Dr. Liszewski was the vice chair of outpatient imaging, chief of the Division of Pediatric Radiology, and an associate program director for the Radiology Residency at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Liszewski is a nationally recognized leader in pediatric radiology and is a frequently invited speaker and panelist at national and international conferences. Dr. Liszewski has chaired and served on multiple hospital committees and academic committees of leading radiology organizations including the American Board of Radiology and American College of Radiology. He has served as an assistant editor for the American Journal of Roentgenology, Pediatric Imaging Section and has been recognized with awards including the Ralph Ger Award and the Golding Scholar Award. Dr. Liszewski’s research focuses on innovations in pediatric imaging with particular interest in pediatric thoracic, gastrointestinal and vascular disease. He has also worked to develop novel bedside fluoroscopy techniques for children.
