Mancuso began Manhattan Podiatry Associates, P.C. in 1981. The operating room not only meets the standard for New York state registration but is also accredited according to the high standards of the Joint Commission.Private facility:Our facility, Gramercy Podiatric Surgical Suites, P.C. Located at 133 east 54th street has been designed with the utmost concern for patient safety and comfort. In addition to our private rooms, our office is equipped with state of the art surgical facilities. Our operating room is registered by New York State and is accredited by the Gold standards and an additional accreditation; The Joint Commission. Having been built to the highest of standards, our physical facility provides a comfortable and safe environment for your procedure without the crowds and risks of a hospital environment. All of our staff, from our medical assistants to our board-certified anesthesiologists have been expertly trained to ensure that you receive exceptional care.Anesthesia:Many are curious about the type of sedation that will be used for their surgical procedure. Working exclusively with board-certified anesthesiologists the doctors of Manhattan Podiatry Associates, PC, and associates carefully consider the best type of anesthesia for each patient. The doctors of Manhattan Podiatry Associates, PC typically use local anesthetic either alone or in combination with (Twilight Anesthesia) for their surgical procedures. This is safer and far superior to general anesthesia. This extremely safe anesthesia is given through an IV and is administered by a board cert anesthesiologists on site.
