Originally opened as a do-it-yourself picture framing shop, Make a Frame made a name for itself by providing an outlet for customers to actually get their hands dirty and participate in the construction process. for Over twenty years this remained the basic business model. in the last eighteen years the neighborhood has changed and so has the shop, we are ever-evolving to meet the needs and tastes of our clients and at the same time maintaining the highest level of design & quality our loyal patrons have come to expect. 40 years young and still going strong. Opened in 1978, Make A Frame is an independent custom framing shop located on this busy commercial stretch in Cobble Hill. There are literally hundreds of options to choose from when designing a custom picture frame. The Make A Frame staff guides its customers through this process; once the appropriate molding style and materials are discussed and chosen, the frame is then hand-built on-site. We understand your free time is limited, as a convenience we now offer in home frame design, pickup of artwork, as well as drop-off services. Please reach out any time via email, or during regular business hours via phone to schedule a visit. One of our in house design team will come to you, at a pre-arranged time, with a limited number of samples and finishes A greater understanding of your design aesthetic is achieved by observing the overall scope of your personal style choices A follow up email will lay out further options that could be considered before finalizing any project There is no additional charge for in home design and pickup after minimum purchase requirements are met.
