Norman MacAfee also spelled McAfee was born in Philadelphia. Norman MacAfee grew up in Havertown, Pennsylvania and Villanova, Pennsylvania. Norman MacAfee attended the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Iowa. Norman MacAfee lives in Greenwich Village, New York, with Dr. Miguel Cervantes and is the author of an opera, The Death of the Forest, using music by Charles Ives, and being developed by the Massachusetts International Festival of the Arts Donald T. Sanders, director Norman MacAfee has also written a book of poetry, A New Requiem Norman MacAfee translated with Luciano Martinengo the major poems of the Italian filmmaker Pier Paolo Pasolini Pier Paolo Pasolini Poems and in collaboration with Lee Fahnestock, Norman MacAfee translated three books the only complete modern version of Victor Hugo 's novel Les Miserables and two volumes of the letters of Jean-Paul Sartre to Simone de Beauvoir Witness to My Life and Quiet Moments in a War . MacAfee is also spelled McAfee.
