Dr. Shi is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Shi is a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist and skilled in general ophthalmology. She specializes in glaucoma evaluation and treatment, including medical management, laser, and glaucoma surgery. She performs cataract surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.Dr. Shi completed her undergraduate studies at Harvard University and her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the prestigious UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute in Los Angeles, CA, one of the highest-ranked programs in the nation. She remained there to continue her fellowship in Glaucoma. She is involved in clinical research and authored several peer-reviewed journal articles.Dr. Shi is currently accepting new patients. Her areas of clinical and research interest include ocularsurface disease, cataract surgery, and ocular emergencies.Dr. Haqqie is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, and is an active member of various professional societies.
