Emilia Pauline Liao, M.D. is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Health and is the program director for the endocrinology fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital. She is a member of the Katz Institute for Women's Health. Dr. Liao grew up a Jersey girl (but is now a converted New Yorker) and attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She graduated medical school from Albany Medical College and completed residency in internal medicine at Rutgers NJ Medical School in Newark, NJ, where she was Chief Resident in her third year. She completed endocrinology fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She has participated in multiple diabetes clinical trials (as principal investigator or co-investigator) and has authored publication on various endocrine topics including diabetes, hypoparathyroidism, osteoporosis, and polycystic ovary syndrome. She is editor of the book, "Extraskeletal Effects of Vitamin D" published by Springer. Her clinical interests include diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome and pituitary diseases. Dr. Shuchie Jaggi, DO, ECNU, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Lenox Hill Hospital, where she serves as Co-Director of the Interdisciplinary Thyroid Program. She is board-certified in both endocrinology and neck ultrasonography.Dr. Jaggi specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all thyroid conditions, including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and Graves' disease. She has a particular expertise in thyroid imaging, performing thyroid biopsies and utilizing advanced, minimally invasive procedures such as radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and ethanol ablation for thyroid nodules.Dr. Jaggi earned her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed her internal medicine residency at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School, and her endocrinology fellowship at Temple University Hospital. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and believes in empowering her patients through education and shared decision-making. Dr. Jaggi actively contributes to several national and local committees dedicated to advancing the field of endocrinology.
