The Lowell Thomas Center opened in 1987, is named for the broadcast pioneer and explorer and Dutchess County neighbor who received an honorary doctorate from Marist in 1981. Displays of artifacts from the life and times of Lowell Thomas are on display, including a trip to Tibet made in 1949.
