Literacy Volunteers of Fulton County
Literacy New York - Fulton Montgomery and Schoharie Counties has been dedicated to changing lives through literacy for over 30 years by providing confidential instruction from trained staff and volunteers. They offer free educational services, including basic literacy instruction, math tutoring, support for English Language Learners, and preparation for the TASC exam.
Tutors and learners meet at mutually agreed upon times in accessible public locations, such as libraries and coffee shops, within a service area spanning more than 1,000 square miles across Fulton, Montgomery, and Schoharie Counties. As a United Way Member Agency, they continue to play a vital role in enhancing adult education and literacy in the community.
