Lisa Park, MD is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Columbia University Medical Center and an Attending Ophthalmologist at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Park received her undergraduate degree from Harvard College and her medical degree from Yale School of Medicine. She completed her residency training at NYU and a fellowship in anterior segment and refractive surgery at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital and New York University School of Medicine. After completing a fellowship in anterior segment and refractive surgery, she joined the faculty at NYU where she was Assistant and Associate Director of Residency Training at NYU for eleven years, mentoring over 70 residents and pioneering the use of virtual surgery simulation in residency training. During the same time, she served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Bellevue Hospital where she was recognized by NYC Health & Hospitals as “Doctor of the Year” in 2007. Dr. Park joined Columbia's Department of Ophthalmology in 2017, and is a well-recognized cataract surgeon with a flourishing practice on Manhattan's west side. She is an expert in the latest surgical techniques including femtosecond-laser assisted cataract surgery and the use of astigmatism and presbyopia correcting intraocular lens implants. She has been consistently recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctors since 2015, and Exceptional Women in Medicine since 2019. In 2021, Dr. Park was elected to Columbia Doctors FPO Board of Governance, and currently serves as the Department of Ophthalmology's Diversity Equity and Inclusion Officer. Dr. Park has published nearly 70 book chapters, journal articles and research abstracts, and lectures nationally and internationally on complex cataract surgery techniques. Her interests include global ophthalmology, and she travels regularly to Guatemala and East Africa to teach and perform humanitarian eye surgery in developing countries, serving on the boards of a number of non-profit organizations dedicated to combating world blindness. Her philosophy is that no two eyes are the same, and her objective is to meet each individual’s visual needs.

He subsequently completed the Advanced Specialty Glaucoma Fellowship Training Program at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute in Baltimore, Maryland where he also served as one of the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Fellows for the 2022-2023 academic year. Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Valenzuela returned to Columbia as a full-time faculty member. Dr. Valenzuela's areas of research primarily focus on understanding glaucoma and glaucoma care in vulnerable populations, surgical and device innovation, and surgical instruction and ophthalmic education for resident and fellow trainees. Clinically, Dr. Valenzuela aims to form partnerships with each of his patients to best manage their glaucoma and maximize their quality of life.

Dr. Noga Harizman, MD is a Professor of Ophthalmology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center specializing in glaucoma and cornea. Dr. Harizman is a leader in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery techniques, both as a teacher and practitioner. Prior to joining Columbia, Dr. Harizman was the Director of Glaucoma services at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, and served as an attending physician and preceptor for resident glaucoma clinics. She is deeply involved in creating the glaucoma surgical curriculum and supervising resident and laser surgical cases. In Columbia University Irving Medical Center, she is the Glaucoma Fellowship program director since 2021. For her outstanding educational leadership, she received the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary Teaching Award in 2011, and he Philip Knapp Memorial Residents Teaching Award at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in 2021. A native New Yorker born to Israeli parents, Dr. Harizman grew up in and was schooled and medically trained in Israel. She is a graduate of Tel Aviv University Medical School. Immediately upon graduating from ophthalmology residency, she began teaching and tutoring medical students on ocular anatomy and disease as a Clinical Instructor in Ophthalmology, at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. She then completed sequential fellowships in glaucoma and cornea at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, where she joined the full-time faculty in 2008. In addition to her accolades as a distinguished physician-educator with international experience and expertise, Dr. Harizman is known for being an effective and caring mentor for medical students, residents and fellows.
