Kevin Johnston, started a little later in healthcare than many others. He grew up on Long Island and worked in the world of manufacturing for over 20 years. In his 40's he became a volunteer firefighter as a way of giving back to the community. He was injured in a fire and required a prolonged rehabilitation. It was during this time that he decided to change his focus and go into nursing.
