The Lilac Preservation Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to revitalizing America's only surviving steam-powered lighthouse tender, USCGC LILAC, which served as a Coast Guard cutter from 1933 to 1972, carrying supplies to lighthouses and maintaining buoys.
