History
Legendary Realms was created by gamers, for gamers. Founded in 2004 by three siblings and two high school friends, Legendary Realms began as an online business selling games. After seeing how expensive RPG terrain could be, they began making their own terrain in November 2009 as a hobby. Within a month, they began selling terrain online. At the 2010 Free RPG Day, the LR team met Dan and John. They soon joined the team along with Colin, a teacher and artist who both painted and sculpted his own terrain, adding painted terrain to the LR product line. It was a huge success. By 2012 as the company was steadily developing a reputation for high high quality terrain at a reasonable price. On June 1, 2013, Legendary Realms Games opened in in Plainview, NY. They also started selling comic books and graphic novels in addition to terrain, RPGs, board and card games. The store's clientele grew quickly, making it the most popular gaming hangout on Long Island.
