Dr. Larry Baskind grew up in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. He graduated from Princeton University, and New Jersey Medical School, where he also did his pediatric residency and served as chief resident. Dr. Baskind came to the Hudson Valley in 1987, working at the local Health Center, where he was the Director of Pediatrics. In 1991, he co-founded Riverside Pediatrics, which is now a part of The Westchester Medical Practice. Dr. Baskind is a Clinical Associate Professor at New York Medical College and serves as a preceptor for medical students and residents. Dr. Baskind's wife is an executive producer of children's educational media at WNET. His proudest accomplishment was his collaboration with her on the creation of two sons who both slept through the night by the age of one month. A medical student and bioengineer, the boys share his love of science, the Knicks, snorkeling, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, and travel. Dr. Baskind plays bass and basketball, ever striving to build skills that can match his passion.In our pediatric practices, we advocate for children to receive the recommended vaccinations as per the schedules provided by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Her clinical focus is in the treatment of ligament, cartilage, meniscus and patellofemoral injuries of the knee; rotator cuff and labrum injuries and arthritis of the shoulder; injuries and overuse conditions of the elbow and labrum injuries and impingement of the hip. Dr. Belkin provides individualized state-of-the-art care to athletes of all descriptions. She has served as an assistant team physician for the New York Giants, an associate team physician for Iona College Athletics, and an orthopedic consultant to the New York Public School Athletic League. She also served as the head team physician at Pace University.
